TEXAS HIGH SCHOOL ALUMNI
REUNION CRUISE

Geared for 65 and over, but open to all !!

WELCOME

One of the main goals in my life is to have another high school reunion cruise, and make it a fundraiser like I did before, but this time raise money for a Veterans cause. I am not a Veteran, but I grew up with them, including my brother Bob and all his friends, and feel led to assist if I can.

I think an “Alumni Challenge” high school competition would be a great way to do it. You spend most of your life in one area, with friends from all the high schools in your area. I started out planning on trying to offer this to my local high schools where I grew up, (Pasadena, Rayburn, LaPorte, etc.), It is a great opportunity to not only help raise funds for assisting Veterans, but to be able to get together not only with your class, but other classes and other schools you grew up around.

WHO IS INVITED?...  EVERY ONE !!!

This is a cruise ship, so anyone can book a cruise.  Our main goal is to find Veteran and High School alumni in the over 65 age group, but all are invited.  Anyone under 65 will be considered

"whippersnappers," and will be dealt with accordingly.
We are hoping to find alumni that want to get together with high school friends and fellow veterans.

What I am offering is a chance to get together for a week with high school and veteran friends that you would like to sit and visit with.  Some will not want to play games, just want to visit. Some will like to have some fun competition with fellow alumni from your school, and others schools.

SINGERS, PICKERS AND SONG WRITERSOne of the best areas we can have is music.  We have a lot of talented musicians in our age group that write, play and sing songs.   Aboard the cruise ship, you are only allowed to get together and play music, in areas when they are not open for business.  Once we get a feel for how many people will sail with us, we’ll know about our private space.

Of course, you can also jam and invite others to join you in your staterooms, as long as the volume doesn’t affect your neighbors.

The cruise staff is dedicated to ensuring that everyone sailing can fully enjoy their vacation experience – I’m sure that we will be able to find opportunities to share our music with each other, while respecting other guests onboard not traveling in our group.

GAMES PEOPLE PLAY

Not all Alumni will be interested in competing in games, but a lot will.  We will be able to set up challenges on board, and possible on the beach at some or our destinations. After we start booking cabins, we will do a survey on what the interest are.  Here are some of the suggestions.

BUNCO - A very popular game, takes about 5 minutes to learn

DOMINOES - MEXICAN TRAIN - HAND AND FOOT - These and other games are quick to learn and a lot of fun to play.

HORSE SHOES (on the beach) CORNHOLE (which is very popular)

There are also the other games provided by the cruise staff that can be arranged.
